New service updates and information

ASU’s new Event Registry went live on Friday, August 1, 2025. The new version offers improved technology, streamlined access and increased event visibility.

What remains unchanged:

  • Access to “Create new registry form” and “My Dashboard” via eventreg.asu.edu
  • Questions on the event form
  • Notifications to Safety Teams, Deans/VPs, and EVP/SVP Approval Teams

Key changes effective at go-live:

  • The Event Registry form has transitioned to ServiceNow with a new interface.
  • Emails from the registry will have a slightly updated layout.

     

  • Event details will no longer be accessed via the event profile. Instead, tickets can be accessed directly through email and the ServiceNow portal.
  • Event cloning will no longer be available.
  • Communications about events will occur within ServiceNow tickets to maintain clear interaction records.
  • Event numbers will now appear as RITM ticket numbers.
  • Your ServiceNow ticket history will serve as your primary dashboard.
  • Notices and warnings with relevant links will now appear in confirmation emails, rather than on the event profile.

Development will continue after launch

  • New and updated features will be rolled out in the coming months, including better event date/time fields, calendars, and improved dashboards.

Training opportunities available soon after launch will include:

  • Becoming proficient with ServiceNow
  • Making changes to events after submission
  • Locating permits from safety teams
  • Communicating directly with safety teams through ServiceNow
