Upcoming migration, service disruption to the ASU Event Registry website
The ASU Event Registry will be moving to a new web hosting platform beginning June 30th. While the site’s appearance and functionality won’t change, there will be temporary service disruptions during the migration.
During the migration, no new Event Registry submissions, safety and approval team notifications, or modifications will be accepted.
Timeline
June 27: LAST DAY TO SUBMIT REGISTRY FORMS
June 30: NEW CONTENT FREEZE BEGINS. No new Event Registry submissions, safety and approval team notifications, or modifications will be accepted. You can still view events and information.
June 30-July 18: MIGRATION. The site will be frozen for two to three weeks during migration.
July 21: WEBSITE RE-OPENS FOR EVENT AND NOTIFICATION SUBMISSIONS
Impact to existing website forms and access
All Event Registry forms (in draft or submitted) and event notifications submitted by the end of day Friday, June 27, 2025 will be migrated with the website.
User may still view events and information on the website during the content freeze, but no new registrations, notifications, or modifications will be accepted.
Action needed from Event Organizers
If you’re hosting an event that takes place before August 1, 2025, submit your registration by the end of day Friday, June 27, 2025 to meet review deadlines.
If your department is planning an event during the content freeze that involves alcohol, you must still submit an ASU Alcohol Permit Request directly to the Office of Risk Management. If you have any questions, please consult the Alcohol Permit page on ORM’s website.
Plan ahead to avoid delays and disruptions!
Action needed from Safety and Approval Teams
Any communications, including approvals and permits, that need to be provided to the coordinators during the migration freeze should be sent directly to the event coordinator listed in the notification email.
At migration completion
When migration is complete, the website banner will be updated and users will be notified that the website is accepting new submissions and notifications.
